We’re about to enter the energetic atmosphere of the arcade for this latest PG Soft review. There’ll be flashing neon lights, the sound of clacking pinball flappers and game machine effects, and perhaps even the odd sobbing child who has just lost all of their pocket money on a rogue claw machine. We’ve all been there. Step right up for some piggy bank themed arcade fun in Lucky Piggy, a medium volatility, six-reel video slot featuring a maximum win of 20,000x and an RTP of 96.79%.
I recently took the kids on a trip to a bowling alley, and as we stepped through the front door of the establishment, we were immediately confronted with a large arcade area. I cursed my decision to come here as I considered the damage this would do to my wallet. Let’s hope Lucky Piggy can help me recover some of my losses; rumour has it that the piggy bank star of this game can double the value of any money placed inside of him. There are lots of other additional features present to keep us entertained, too, ranging from cascading reels and increasing multipliers to sticky wilds and a free spins bonus.
Fancy some game time on the machines in this palace of fun? Great, change up your notes into coins and fire up the Lucky Piggy demo slot; it’s available to play for free below!

Slot developers seem to love creating games based around piggy bank-inspired themes, and there are plenty out there, that's for sure. The same goes for the arcade theme, which has been coupled with our porky little friend to create Lucky Piggy. A prominent feature in this slot is the use of the wild symbol, and PG Soft are very good at making tweaks to its function across its games to create a vast array of differing gameplay results. Their catalogue is bursting with wild action, such as Safari Wilds, a slot featuring a maximum win of 5,000x and an RTP of 96.75%. This game has cascading reels, increasing multipliers, a free spin round, and utilises an interesting transforming wild system. Or, if you fancy something with a bit more top-end potential, how about Asgardian Rising? This high volatility slot has a possible maximum win of 25,000x and features the PG Soft trademark Wild-On-The-Way system. Right, back to business and next we’ll take a more detailed look into the features of Lucky Piggy.
Starting at the paytable, we find the highest paying symbol is a very expensive looking Sparkling Diamond, which will return 2.5x your total stake for each line of six symbols. Next, it’s the Roll of Banknotes, at 1.5x, and the Stack of Coins paying 1x. Following these are the four remaining premium symbols, the Bell, Lemon, Cherry, and Clover, which will return 0.75x, 0.5x, 0.4x, and 0.4x, respectively, per line of six. The non-premiums featured are the A, K, Q, and J, which all pay 0.25x the total bet amount.
When it comes to the stake options, typically from a PG Soft game, there’s plenty of choice on offer. These options range from as low as €0.20 to as high as €100.00 on Lucky Piggy, ensuring players of all sized budgets are cared for when playing for real money.
Looking at the game mechanics, we can see that Lucky Piggy operates on a six-reel grid with rows set up in a fixed 3-3-4-4-4-4 formation, which creates 2,304 payways. The cascading reels system is utilised, with any symbols involved in a win being removed from the grid, creating additional space for further symbols to drop in from the top and offering the opportunity for multiple wins to take place within a single game round. As standard with many slots, wins are achieved by matching at least three symbols from left to right, commencing on the leftmost reel.
At the top left of the screen, you will notice a multiplier value displayed. At the start of any main game spin, this multiplier value is set to x1. Whenever a winning combination occurs, this value will be increased by +1 before the next cascade. This process continues until there are no further cascades, and there is no limit on how high the multiplier can grow. The value of each winning sequence shall be multiplied by the value of the current multiplier after each cascade.
There are two types of wild symbols used in Lucky Piggy; the standard wild, which substitutes for any symbol and is removed from the grid once involved in a win, and the scatter wild symbol, which sticks in the position it lands in for the duration of the spin, whether used or not, and also acts as a scatter symbol towards triggering the free spins feature.
Four scatter symbols landing on the playfield during any one spin will trigger the free spins feature, awarding eight spins. Any additional scatter symbols above the required four will award two extra starting spins each.
All scatter symbols involved in the trigger will stick in position for the duration of the bonus, acting as wild symbols. Any additional scatter wild symbols that land during the free spins will also stick in position until the end, and each will award +1 free spin. The multiplier behaves as it does in the base game, increasing by +1 for every winning cascade; however, in the bonus, it builds and holds its value between spins until the feature finishes.
Well, it's another PG Soft review, and yet again, I’m impressed. The thing with this provider is that they have several set moulds in terms of mechanics and slot design, which makes many of their games seem similar but so fresh and different from each other at the same time. Lucky Piggy is an example of that, and I love how they have tweaked the use of the wild symbol and applied sharp, colourful graphics.
It's business as usual in the base game with high RTP, plenty of decent size hits and a lot of action for your money. The free spins feature is where things really kick off. The combination of sticky wilds and an increasing multiplier, which holds its value between spins, is a recipe for making money, and you can absolutely see how the potential maximum win of 20,000x could be achieved here.
