Put your hands in the air like you just don’t care and pump up the volume; it’s time to dance! I must admit, I’ve never been a great lover of raves. I attended a few in my late teens, mainly due to peer pressure, but I quickly realised that I was a boring old man stuck in a young person’s body who would rather stay home with a cup of tea and watch a documentary. Perhaps this title from PG Soft could release my inner party animal? Rave Party Fever is a medium volatility, seven-reel, seven-row video slot featuring a maximum win of 5,000x and an RTP of 96.73%.
As you’d expect from a game of this theme, things get pretty loud and bright as soon as you load it up. Flashing neon and fluorescent lights blink along to the heavy bass of the DJ’s banging tune whilst the crowd goes wild. Let’s hope the features of Rave Party Fever can live up to the hype of its graphics and soundtrack. The action takes place on a 7x7 grid layout, and wins are achieved by matching groups of corresponding symbols in cluster pays style. There are plenty of game-enhancing features to keep you moving to the beat, such as symbol removal, transforming symbols, and random wilds. In addition, any wins achieved during the base game will add to a bar you’ll need to fill to be awarded the bonus round, which features increasing multipliers.
Are your feet itching for a boogie? Well, you’re in luck because the DJ is about to drop a hot beat, and you’ve just been invited to the hottest party in town. Check out the Rave Party Fever slot demo, which is available to play for free below!

Playing Rave Party Fever could give you the impression that the developers over at PG Soft are quite the party animals. However, after browsing through their list of titles, it would appear that there has, so far, been no afterparty. So, focusing on the cluster pays dynamic instead, I managed to locate some other recommendations. First up, it's Alchemy Gold, a five-reel, five-row video slot featuring transforming wild symbols and a free spins round to shoot for. Or, if you are a fan of cluster pays games but would like to try something a little different, how about Lucky Clover Lady? A high volatility, five-reel, six-row video slot, with a maximum win of 7,500x and an RTP of 96.77%. This game operates on a variation of the cluster pays mechanism, with any matching symbols on the grid accumulating until no more land, at which point you are paid out per number of symbols present. It also features multipliers, symbol upgrades and a free spins bonus, so it is worth checking out. Next, we’ll take a deeper look into the features of Rave Party Fever, starting with the pass section.
To receive the highest payout value for each symbol, you are required to match a minimum of 25 of them. That may be a big ask, but we’ll use that as a guide to gauge the power of each symbol. We can see from the paytable that the top value symbol is the Golden Disco Ball, which will return a prize of 300x your total stake for a cluster of 25+. Next, it’s the Turntable at 200x, followed by the least valuable premium symbols, the Headphones and the Microphone, both paying 50x. The non-premium symbols featured are the usual A, K, Q, and J, which will all return 10x your full bet value for 25 or more symbols.
Next, let's investigate the stake possibilities on Rave Party Fever. There’s lots to choose from, with a huge 33 different options available. These start from a low of €0.30 and rise to a high of €90.00, with plenty of graduated increments in between. With so many to pick from, there’s sure to be a suitable selection for most players.
It's time to dig deeper into the game mechanics now, and there is no need to worry about paylines on Rave Party Fever, as all that’s required to achieve a win is to match at least five of the same symbols touching in a cluster anywhere on the screen. These can be formed in any shape or direction. Any symbols involved in a win will be removed from the grid, creating space for further symbols to drop into play from the top of the reels, hopefully helping to create further wins.
At the start of any main game spin, three activation spots represented by yellow, green, and red spotlights are randomly positioned on the reels behind symbols. Any win involving the symbols overlaying one or more of these spots will activate its respective feature. Yellow will award Bass Blast, green is Mass Transform, and red will trigger Wild Deejay. These features will then play out at the end of the spin, once there are no further wins, and can only be activated once each per spin during the base game. Below, I've included more details on what each modifier will perform.
The bonus round is activated by filling the meter located at the top of the screen. Each symbol involved in a win will be worth one point, and 65 are required to fully complete the bar. This meter resets after every spin.
Once activated, this bonus feature will award you all three of Bass Blast, Mass Transform, and Wild Deejay, which will then play out sequentially in that order. During this process, the activation spots will also be present on the reels and can be reactivated indefinitely. At the start of the bonus, a multiplier value will be present, set at x1. For every winning cascade, this value will increase by one, and its current value will be applied to the total win value from each cascade.
I’ve partied hard here, but now it’s time to hang up my bucket hat and reflect on the evening’s entertainment. I think this is a fantastic looking slot from PG Soft. There's lots of action in the base game with the three different features to trigger and the bar to fill, which keeps you interested. I found the bonus fairly tough to achieve at times, and it had a frustrating habit of falling just short of the required 65 symbols. But when I did achieve it, I found it an exciting feature which often rolled on for some time, with the activation spots re-activating numerous times and the multiplier value building nicely, which resulted in some substantial wins. The other side to that coin is that the bonus can often be over before you know it if the features do not re-trigger, as there is no minimum set number of spins. Overall, it’s a thumbs-up from me.
